My Daughters… My Life, My Story

My Daughters… My Life, My Story

My challenge is being a teen parent and getting judged everyday because of it. I go around looking for places, viewing places and once they see that I am a teen parent, they judge me or change their attitude towards me. They look at me like I am not responsible enough to have my own place. When people judge me like that, I get discouraged and doubt myself. I go through this everyday and everywhere I go with my kids. Most people give me dirty looks or make remarks under their breath. But what makes me overcome these challenges is seeing the other young mothers here at Braemar, how they keep coming to school too and facing some of the challenges I have to everyday and knowing I am not alone. The biggest thing that helps me overcome the challenge is my kids. I’ll do everything and anything I can for them to have a better life than I did. When I hold them, or see them, I feel like I have no problems, no worries, not caring what others think. I feel like I have the whole world in my hands.
